In April 2009 an electronic multilingual database of terms, term combinations, keywords and key expressions in all 20 fields of the acquis in Bulgarian, English, French and German languages started functioning. The access to this database is free, via the updated website of the Translation and Revision Centre (TRC).

Since 16 March 2009, the Translation and Revision Centre began conducting a training to work with databases containing acts of the European legislation, terminological databases in the field of EU law on Internet and the specialised terminology used there, as well as to work with the European institutions’ websites.

On 25 February 2009 the Translation and Revision Centre carried out an one-day seminar on the subject „Problems in introducing and use of new terms in Bulgarian language in the process of translation of the acquis”.
The event which took place at the EU Information Centre with the obliging assistance of the Representation of the European Commission in Bulgaria, has been organised within the Project „Enhancement of the knowledge and the awareness of the officials from the State administration to work with the European Union legislation” implemented by TRC since 9 July 2008 with the financial support of OPAC, co-financed by the ESF.

The Translation and Revision Centre printed out and disseminated the first information leaflet, presenting the Project of TRC „Enhancement of the knowledge and the awareness of the officials from the State administration to work with the European Union legislation” and delivering information about the progress in the activities, achieved in the first six months since its start.
28-11-2008The results from the study on the needs of the servants from the central, regional and municipal administrations of thematic training oriented towards working with databases related to the EU legislation, which started at the end of July, are ready.
This study was realized jointly with „New Eye” OOD under the Project of the Translation and Revision Centre „Enhancement of the knowledge and the awareness of the officials from the State administration to work with the European legislation”, implemented with the financial support of Operational Programme Administrative capacity, co-financed by the European Union through the European Social Fund.

On 10 September 2008, at the CRYSTAL PALACE BOUTIQUE HOTEL, the Translation and Revision Centre (TRC) conducted its first PRESS CONFERENCE, whose purpose was to present to the Bulgarian general public the Project „Enhancement of the knowledge and the awareness of the officials from the State administration to work with the European Union legislation”, financed under OPAC, co-financed by the European Social Fund.
