On 10 September 2008, at the CRYSTAL PALACE BOUTIQUE HOTEL, the Translation and Revision Centre (TRC) conducted its first PRESS CONFERENCE, whose purpose was to present to the Bulgarian general public the Project „Enhancement of the knowledge and the awareness of the officials from the State administration to work with the European Union legislation”, financed under OPAC, co-financed by the European Social Fund.

Official invitations for the event have been sent to the Minister of State Administration and Administrative Reform Mr. Nikolay Vassilev, to the Deputy Ministers: Ms. Maria Divizieva and Ms. Buzhka Lukich, to Directors of Directorates at the State Administration and Administrative Reform, as well as to Mr. Dimitar Penkov, Executive Director of the Institute of Public Administration (IPA), which is partner under this project.

The participants in the press conference: Ms. Inna Slavova, Acting Director of the Translation and Revision Centre and leader of the project, Ms. Zornitsa Alexandrova – terminologist, and Ms. Jeni Kirilova, in charge of public relations have delivered to the media and the guests the multimedia presentation of the goals, activities and the results expected from the project.

The guests to this event demonstrated vivid interest in the creation of an online terminological database, comprising 3 000 terms and term combinations in the European law, in 4 languages: Bulgarian, English, French and German - as well in printing-out a hard copy dictionary, in 500 copies, which will reflect the electronic terminological search engine and which, within the framework of the project, will be disseminated mainly among the structures of the State administration.
